About JHS Ltd
JHS Ltd was established in 2003 as a Training/ Assessment and Contracting business.
The company stemmed from agriculture, contracting away from the farm. The contracting branched into environmental maintenance, arboriculture, fencing and some landscaping and has grown from there.
The training business runs alongside contracting and provides land based training, plant, machinery and equipment assessment. There are many different training courses and assessments on offer, please take a look at the training page for more details.
We have Health and Safety (NEBOSH qualified) and Environmental professionals (IEMA members) working for us and we can help take the strain out of the paperwork for you. We can provide help with CHAS and Constructionline accreditation or registration; we can help with Risk Assessments, Method Statements or Safe Systems of Work. We can help you identify where you can improve and what you need to do to comply with legislation. With the ever increasing demand for legislative compliance we can carry out Environmental risk assessments, Site waste management plans and pre contract hazard assessments.
The three elements of the business compliment each other well. Our staff are always highly trained and we have a unique training plan for each person working for us. If they are not qualified for the job, they don’t do it.
We are CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) Accredited , Constructionline registered and Human Focus accredited (RoSPA backed). We have a Quality Management System although we are not currently accredited.
The company has nationwide coverage and a 'no job too small' attitude. We are large enough to cope but small enough to care about our standards of work and the knock on effects that they may have for not only ourselves, but our clients.
