Description:
This qualification meets the legal requirements of the Control of Pesticides Regulations and lets you to work unsupervised in the industry. To achieve this qualification you'll show your knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice for Plant Protection Products. You are required to complete this course before completing practical courses in particular pesticide application equipment e.g. vehicle mounted boom sprayer (PA2) or handheld equipment (PA6). The training is ideal for farmers and sprayer operatives.
Course sessions:
§ Knowing the legislative requirements and codes of practice relating to use of pesticides
§ Understanding the relevance of product information
§ Minimising the risk of human contamination and implement emergency procedures
§ Storing and transport pesticides safely
§ Managing and disposing of surplus pesticides and waste materials
§ Record keeping requirements
§ Minimising risk of environmental contamination and implementing emergency procedures
